Bad news for students at UL, tuition is going up again. The decision was made by the UL Board of Supervisors, and comes just days after Governor Bobby Jindal released his budget for the next fiscal year. That budget relies on $75 million in tuition increases to help off-set about $209 million in cuts to the state's college's, universities and hospitals.
