My Thoughts on Mat Honan's Gizmodo Article on How Yahoo Killed Flickr and Lost the Internet

if yahoo wants to call off the facebook patent suit now w/ Thompson out, maybe they should give Flickr to Facebook as a peace offering.

$50 billion in market cap added to AAPL in a single day. That's almost 3x what the entire company of Yahoo is worth.

If Yahoo says they're shutting down 50 properties and if flickr isn't one of the 50, someone at Yahoo should communicate that.

I wonder how much Facebook might have offered for Flickr if Yahoo hadn't sued them first.
